Nameless TF2 fanfic Chapter 2 - Learning the RopesThe next step after matching Scout’s speed and endurance was jumping.
“So, how do you double jump?” I asked as we ran, heading towards the BLU courtyard. I was beginning to pant a little, but I pushed myself to keep going.
“That one’s tricky to master,” Scout replied without stopping, “but once you’ve nailed it, it’s easy.”
“Okay, so how does it work?” I asked, leaping down off the planks and rolling on contact with the ground to avoid damaging my knees or ankles.
“Like this,” he replied, jumping off at the same point. He then jumped again in mid-air, leaving behind a small puff of some kind of particle effect that faded quickly.
“How am I supposed to jump on air?” I asked as he landed, wearing a perplexed expression.
“Trust me, it works. Just push out again like you’re jumping normally.”

Once again, I had fallen over backwards as a result of the FaN’s knockback. I hit the target exactly where I wanted, but the recoil was clearly too much for me.
“Uh… maybe you should try something else,” Scout suggested, as I’d hit the ground for the sixth time.
“Rrrr… if I have to. Got a Shortstop on you?” I growled, then asked. I also used that when the FaN wasn’t working out so well for me in-game.
Scout looked around in his sling bag before taking out the quadruple-barrelled pistol and throwing it underarm to me. I caught it in one hand, returned the Force-A-Nature to my own bag and then aimed at one of the targets.

I easily fired four rounds right into the target’s face, making a somewhat distorted square due to the small amount of recoil that threw my accuracy off slightly.

The tomato soup can flew off the fence with a nice, clean hole through it. Sniper silently praised me for my shoot and I couldn’t be more proud to get Sniper as a mentor and teacher. “Okay sheila, let’s try moving targets.”

I’ll like to note the downside of shooting a gun this powerful, the recoil. So I decided to redraw that picture of Baca by =Xenodyr

Scary Monsters and SpritesThat's a good description of my night, anyway.
I'm going to add a lot of stuff to Geode tonight. I have mentally prepared myself, drank a lot of root beer, and have a whole bunch of music to get me through the night. Tonight is a good night.
Here's a list of things I intend to add:
- A character/world setup screen. The player will be able to select whether they want a variable or flat world, with or without cities, as well as characteristics of their character, like the name and gender. Of course, the default will be Female/Baca.
- Basic city generation - small buildings, strips of tar, sewers, glowspider nests.
- Glowspider and Glombee mobs. Glowspiders are enemy mobs that live in the sewers of city biomes and can infect players. They cause the player to increase in speed but slowly lowers their resistance and begin to take over their actions. Basically, they're a power-up that over time can kill if you use them too much. I need to post more.I most definitely do. So here's a giant journal post!
I've been thinking of drawing some of the new species that I've been planning for the Tesurra plotline. Mostly the multitude of species from Nyla. There's a lot of them. Nyla is a moon orbitting Tesurra. Because of the nature of Tesurra's system (many moving objects, gas clouds, etc.) it is easier for species to travel between celestial bodies. Only two or three species from Nyla should be present on Tesurra, though:
Nylian slimes - Yellow floating electrical varients of the slime mob. They hover through the air above water using their magnetic field, and can roll on the ground by changing shape and propelling themselves forward with electrical bolts (similar to lightning, or what a Tesla coil produces).
Synterians - The species that my "Cactose" skin belongs too. Synterians are about halfway between the height of a human and an Enderman, with a similar lanky body structure to the latter. The Craesceak nights used by AI need to post more. by =Xenodyr

The Greshian Empire (the largest governing body in all Tesura) was first formed 1280 B.J. (before Jeb). They were in the beginning a humble group of farmers, but as many of the worlds "humble farmers" formed city-states, they would be left behind if they didn't do the same. They were led by a powerful dictator who promised the farmers a peaceful land, but only if they could drive away their potentially hostile neighbors. Of this, they were very efficient.

About this group

What is a daexsys? The word means nothing. It is the product of coming up with random names. o3o

But this group is about a whole bunch of different things. It's about Minecraft, all Source engine games (especially TF2 and Gmod), and SFM. The community is mostly centered around the daexsys.com Minecraft server, but that shouldn't keep any of you from joining us. :3

You should join this group if any one or multiple of these apply to you:

You're a Doctor Who fan.
